Distressed Fx Photo App - Great way to create vintage pictures

This post is about a great app, it's called Distressed FX and has many settings to transform your ordinary iPhone shots into something more vintage and original.

Let's start as usual with a regular picture

Now, let's open in Distressed FX

As you can see, I tapped the square icon right-bottom and choosed a filter called "Lade",
which already gave the photo an antique feel.

But this app works with two simultaneous filters you can use as separate layers, so I tapped again the same right-bottom icon to select another filter, which will add itself to the first one:

This time I choosed a preset called "Finch" to have a more sepia-colorized effect.

To complete the editing, I also added a radial blur effect, tapping the bottom-left drop icon, which opens the following menu:

Select "Round" and use your fingers to set the shape of the effect to apply:

Now we can just save (the top-left icon with a box and an upward arrow), and here's the final result:

Note: I used strong effects just to make more clear what this app can do, but it's possible to tweak the intensity of the effects to get a more subtle result (just use the top-left icon with faders)

That's all, check this great app!

Droste Effect - An App that would deserve more attention

So welcome everyone to the first post of this blog.

We will try here to talk about the best iOs photo apps on the App store right now.

We will also show some edit paths and some settings and tweaks that will help to get the best from every single app.

I would like to start with an app that I like really a lot, and seems not popular enough currently:

Let's start with a normal shot like this one

And open it in Droste Effect

As you can see, the image is already altered when you open it.

Now, let's try to set strands to zero, to change the spiral effect into a more spherical one:

Now, this kind of effect is quite similar to another app, the great MarbleCam

The difference is that here we can create both spherical and spiral distortions.

Now let's try different settings...

As you can see, you can change many settings and have very different results, so the only advice is: be patient, the app can be slow but it's worth waiting :)

Also remember to scroll down the settings section, there are many other settings other than Strands, Periods and Transparency!

Let's see the final result:

That's all - check this great app!
